How should local leagues handle the delayed start of the regular season?
We recommend that our leagues exercise an abundance of caution and suspend all league activities until no earlier than Friday, May 1.
How was the May 1 date chosen to resume activity?
President Trump has extended the COVID-19 Social Distancing Policy through April 30, 2020. As more information is released we will have an update.
My league did not reach the 12-game minimum for tournament participation, does that mean we cannot enroll in tournaments?
PONY will waive the 12-game minimum for tournament participation in 2020 for those leagues that wish to participate in 2020 tournament competition.
What should I do if someone associated with the league shows symptoms consistent with COVID-19?
If local league members have reason to believe that someone associated with the league shows symptoms consistent with COVID-19, they should immediately notify local league personnel responsible for coordinating with local and state health officials, including public health departments.
Are the World Series tournament events cancelled?
PONY is consulting with each state that hosts a World Series to determine what course of action to take.
When will PONY Baseball & Softball update local leagues on the start of the 2020 season?
Many of our spring and summer PONY facilities are located on school, municipal or park grounds. PONY advises you to check with local and state officials regarding the use of these facilities and in what phase they will reopen.s
